Background
The Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprises, Inc. (FAHE) is a U.S. Treasury certified Community Development Financial Institution and 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. FAHE is a clearinghouse for financial services, including conventional as well as unconventional products, in the Appalachian counties of Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. FAHE also establishes the infrastructure necessary for our Members to implement scalable housing solutions supported by our financial products.

FAHE leads a network of Appalachian organizations to sustainable growth and measurable impact through collective voice and provides acces to capital that creates housing and promotes community development.

  • Invested $8,935,611 in the community through Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprises's revolving loan fund, which leveraged $36,778,138 from conventional lenders and other sources.
