Background
RRC is a nonprofit community development corporation founded in 1989 with the mission to revitalize the Reynoldstown community economically, physically, socially and spiritually. Since then RRC has expanded to offer its holistic model and program services to other communities across the metro Atlanta area, with a focus on the central and southern counties. RRC was created by a mandate of the Reynoldstown Civic Improvement League. Although now a metro organization, RRC continues to assist the Reynoldstown Civic Improvement League on civic affairs and community advocacy. It is because of this relationship that RRC’s mission of creating sustainable communities was developed. RRC is proud of the fact that its origin is in Reynoldstown; one of the oldest African American neighborhoods in Atlanta. It was established when former slaves migrated to the area to find employment after the Civil War. Today the Reynoldstown neighborhood has gentrified dramatically and RRC continues to have a positive impact on the community. RRC currently has four primary business lines: • housing development; • property management; • community building; and • the HomeOwnership Center

Mission
RRC creates sustainable communities through knowledge sharing, community building, housing and economic opportunities with residents at the center of our efforts. The RRC way is a unique, holistic approach to community development that supports residents as well as the physical and spiritual components of community.

Total Operating Expense (9/30/2007): $892,618
