Background
Portland Housing Center is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) housing organization that began in 1991 in response to a newspaper expose on a fraudulent mortgage company and banks redlining of an inner city community. The Portland Housing Center provides a range of housing services to help stabilize low and moderate-income neighborhoods in Portland. Services include home buying services (prepurchase counseling, financial fitness, home buying classes, and financial assistance); homeowner services (loans and classes on home maintenance, taxes and equity); and rental housing services (landlord workshops and tenant trainings).

Mission
Everyone deserve access to homeownership. The Portland Housing Center makes it possibly through quality education, counseling and financial services.
