Little Dixie Community Action Agency, Inc. (LDCAA) is a private non-profit community based organization established in 1968 to provide community services that promote the self-sufficiency of economically disadvantaged citizens in southeast Oklahoma. Our Board of Directors is made up of an equal number of persons representing the private, public and low-income sectors for the communities we serve.

  • Assisted 47 families in purchasing a home through homeownership counseling, downpayment, closing cost or financing assistance.
  • Owned or managed 114 rental units.
  • Invested $184,215 in the community through Little Dixie Community Action Agency's revolving loan fund, which leveraged $9,618,306 from conventional lenders and other sources.

    10/28/2008 A total of 140 people attended Little Dixie Community Action Agency’s Homebuyer Education classes from October 2007 to October 2008. Also during October 2007 to October 2008, a total of 186 people attended Little Dixie Community Action Agency’s Financial Fitness classes. This past year, Little Dixie Community Action Agency weatherized 47 homes. Through its Self-Help Housing program, the agency assisted 22 individuals in becoming homeowners. Since its inception in 1974, Little Dixie Community Action Agency’s Self-Help Housing program has resulted in over 1,700 new homes being completed for low-income families. Also, hundreds more families have been helped through Little Dixie Community Action Agency’s other housing programs such as: Purchase, Rehab, Resale; Speculative Housing; Owner Occupied Rehab; Apartments; Elderly Supportive Housing; Emergency Services; and more. Little Dixie Community Action Agency’s housing counselors recently received additional training through the NeighborWorks® Training Institute to be able to provide more Home Equity Conversion Mortgage counseling as well as Foreclosure Prevention counseling.
