Background
WNDC has been restoring abandoned houses, building new homes, and revitalizing neighborhoods to improve the quality of life in Woonsocket, Rhode Island since 1987. Since the organization's early days thirty two homes and two hundred and thirty two apartments have been completed, most of these since 1994. Over three hundred families and individuals have been directly served by WNDC's programs and projects.

Mission
Woonsocket Neighborhood Development Corporation [WNDC] is a nonprofit community development corporation committed to rebuilding neighborhoods and communities. We have focused our efforts on developing quality affordable housing to serve as a catalyst to transform communities and help families build better lives. However, we realize that housing alone is not enough to build better neighborhoods and lives, so, we collaborate, roll up our sleeves and work with partners to also provide safe, violence free streets, access to jobs and economic opportunity, quality affordable childcare and afterschool programs, and responsive and effective government, education, social and cultural institutions.
