Background
Twin Cities Community Development Corporation was renamed from the Community Development Corporation of Fitchburg, formally incorporated in 1985, which was originally the Cleghorn Neighborhood Development Corporation, incorporated in 1982 and unofficially formed in 1979. The Twin Cities CDC has responded to the changing needs of low income neighborhoods we have served since the beginning in 1979 by engaging in a variety of community economic development strategies. As a community-based organization, the CDC is particularly concerned with the revitalization of neighborhoods. In community organizing, the CDC's goals are to develop leaders who work to obtain resources to meet local needs and affect policy changes that yield solutions to neighborhood problems.

Mission
The Twin Cities Community Development Corporation is a membership organization led by the diverse resident and business communities of Fitchburg and Leominster. We invest in and organize residents to help our communities build assets such as quality housing, good jobs, strong businesses and effective leaders. We envision healthy neighborhoods where residents choose to live, work and invest, thereby forming a powerful unified community.

Total Operating Expense (9/30/2007): $964,521
