Background
NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center Sacramento Region, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was created in 1987 to revitalize the community. We use programs and revitalization strategies that will effectively increase homeownership, improve and preserve existing homes and empower residents through education and collaboration. NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center Sacramento Region serves the Greater Sacramento Region, with a special outreach focus to reach low to moderate income level residents. We are a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), certified by the U.S. Dept. of the Treasury and a housing counseling agency approved by the U. S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) since 2000. We are a chartered member of the NeighborWorks Network, an active member of their National Campaign for HomeOwnership and maintain our certification to provide Full-Cycle Lending services.

Our mission is "to provide opportunities for successful homeownership and strong communities through quality education, affordable lending, supportive partnerships and dedicated leadership".
