Background
Founded in 1982 as one of the first rural NeighborWorks(r) organizations. Rural Revitalization Corporation (RRC) dba NeighborWorks(R) Home Resources provides services to Cattaraugus County, five townships in two adjoining counties, and both Seneca Nation Indian Reservations.

To provide housing-related resources,educational, and technical services to provide safe, decent and affordable housing.

  • Provided 18 families with pre- and post- purchase housing counseling.
  • Rehabilitated or repaired 31 rental or owner occupied units (1-4 units).
  • Assisted 8 families in purchasing a home through homeownership counseling, downpayment, closing cost or financing assistance.
  • Owned or managed 20 rental units.
  • Invested $116,999 in the community through Rural Revitalization Corporation's revolving loan fund, which leveraged $1,095,157 from conventional lenders and other sources.
  • Total direct investment in the community is $1,212,156.

    10/8/2009 NeighborWorks(R) Home Resources in March of 2009 has become a NYS CHDO. We are excited about this accomplishment because it gives us the opportunity to continue the work in our CLO target area. We also have recieved $300,000 to buy/rehab/resell houses in this Green- Inving Street area of Olean NY under the HOME CHDO program.
