Background
Founded in 1982, NHS began as a small revitalization effort in Boise's Vista neighborhood, and has evolved into a statewide organization. Working in partnership with residents, private industry and government, NHS has developed a variety of programs to promote community development, homeownership and healthy neighborhoods: Lending, Home Buyer Education, Property Management, Resident Services, Paint The Town™ and Rake Up Boise™.

    2/25/2009 175 households were provided one-on-one counseling during 2008 - 56 pre-purchase, 54 foreclosure prevention/intervention, and 65 reverse mortgage.
    2/25/2009 108 Idaho families and individuals became homeowners through NHS' loan program during FY 2008
