Background
Aberdeen NHS/NeighborWorks® of Grays Harbor was founded in 1981 when a group of citizens, city leaders and lenders came together to form a grassroots organization dedicated to improving homes in two lower-income neighborhoods in Aberdeen, population 16,700. Since that time, NeighborWorks® has matured into an organization that provides an array of home-ownership, home-improvement, affordable-rental and neighborhood-revitalization services to all of Grays Harbor County, population 68,200.

Mission
To develop partnerships in the community between business and government leaders and residents to create safe and affordable housing opportunities for all residents of Grays Harbor County.

  • Invested $202,756 in the community through Aberdeen Neighborhood Housing Services's revolving loan fund, which leveraged $3,734,419 from conventional lenders and other sources.
