Background
Incorporated in 1979 with the purpose of developing an organization that could meet the housing needs of city residents who were unable to access traditional assistance, while helping to revitalize neighborhoods. The organization’s geographic service area has expanded twice, and NeighborWorks Rochester serves the entire city of Rochester. Today, we offer homeownership education and home improvement lending programs, technical services, such as lead testing and construction management, and Healthy Blocks, our targeted neighborhood initiative.

  • Invested $605,761 in the community through Neighborhood Housing Services of Rochester, Inc.'s revolving loan fund, which leveraged $5,120,919 from conventional lenders and other sources.
